米德高中’s signature focus on homeland security is a great fit with AACC’s 首页land Security and Criminal Justice programs! Taking the courses below will begin a pathway to an associate degree in 首页land Security Management. Ask your high school counselor for details regarding this exciting opportunity.
Students completing the 首页land Security Emergency Preparedness program at their high school and successfully complete an AACC proficiency assessment earn 熟练的信用 for hls - 111 Introduction to 首页land Security.
参加 Center for Applied Technology – North (CAT-North) can earn college credits by enrolling in selected AACPS Career Technology Education (CTE) programs. You then just need to successfully complete your CAT -北方 program, and earn a C or better on the AACC college 能力评估(年代).* Grades below C will not be reflected on your AACC college transcript.
*The Childhood Development Associate (CDA) program requires a grade of "B" or better to earn 熟练的信用.

The Early Childhood Education/Child Care Services program follows the high school Child Development Associate (CDA) Program of the National Credentialing Program. The CDA is nationally transferable, 最广泛认可的, credible and valid credential in the Early Childhood Education field. Students may earn the CDA in center-based programs, family child care and home visitors. Students complete 120 clock hours of child development education and 480 hours of experience working directly with children in licensed facilities. In addition to industry certification, students can also earn college credit.

The ProStart program introduces high school students to a variety of careers within the restaurant, food service and hospitality industry.
